Rye Meads

It rained last night, boy did it rain!

I almost went for a walk this morning but thought I ought to travel further (especially as I will be confined tomorrow) so went all the way to Rye Meads!

It was very quiet (it is July). There were a couple of Common Terns, lots of young birds (including Tufted Duck families and Little Grebe chicks), a Green Sandpiper,  Lapwing and a  Kingfisher.

My own personal highlight was this fledgling Reed Warbler!!!

I will wander further a field later in the week. Honest!
