Anglesey Abbey

The weather is meant to get a little damp for a few days so I decided I'd head to Anglesey Abbey. I had the obligatory scone and coffee then went for a walk

Anglesey had lost 3 trees in the recent storms and it seems these have been "shredded" and used on the paths making them a lot less damp which is a nice reuse.

I headed off to get some lunch.

Oh  by the way at this stage I should have walked a total of 323.32 miles to hit my 2000 mile target. I'm on 360.89 miles so 37.57 miles ahead of target.

Local Wildlife

I am still busily enjoying my local walks. I await my first migrant of the year and I suspect a few walks to the local wood are in order and I know of a wood a bit further which I might try as well. Because a right plain  little Olive Brown Warbler is on its way back to herald in Spring!

Although I saw my first butterfly yesterday I still await one on my walks but signs of Spring exist. I can guarantee the first time I leave my camera at home one will appear ;)

A Common Gull, odd name as they're not that common really! That said I've seen quite a few.

I found a BIG flock of Chaffinches the other day... alas no Brambling... ah well :)
