Restormel and Antony

So where to today?

Firstly Restormel.

The current castle is circular and built in the second half of the 13th century. The castle was never a military castle (the only action it saw was in the civil war. The castle was a ruin before the Civil War) and was more of a palace.

Antony is an 18th century century house. I didn't go in the house today but if you want to look inside ;)

Love that castle! and the gardens. We really must return to Cornwall - we had planned to go the year the pandemic first struck but I hadn't actually booked a cottage.

There is another garden at Antony not owned by the trust.... Antony woodland garden it opens earlier than Antony. It has a tearoom didn't go this time but worth a visit.
