Croft Castle

Well I have moved! I am now in Herefordshire. I am not certain why I did it in this order but there you are.

Croft Castle is the nearest National Trust property to my pub so that' where I went!

Croft was in the  ownership of the Croft family from the 11th century until 1746 (the family suffered after the South Sea Bubble ). The family repurchased it in 1923 and gave it to the National Trust in 1957.

The church of St Michael and All Angels, Which is not National Trust. It dates to the 14th century

And yes we have the Scone of the month the Coronation Scone!

The pictures are of the same lady. Lady Croft

A nice wander ...... it was warm!

What beautiful rooms and the portraits of Lady Croft, and the grounds and church.

I love Croft Castle and the church there. Some good walks too when it is not this hot! The scone looks good.
