Snowshill and Chastleton

I seem to be away again....

As I was coming up the M40 and the heavens opened.

I had breakfast then did a bit of shopping before heading to Snowshill. Yes I'm back in the Cotswolds.

Snowshill was the home of Charles Paget Wade. Wade was an avid collector and the house contains his eclectic collection. I often just wander around the garden and read but given the weather I went into the house.

Wade lived in an outbuilding!!
.

Yes I ate my scone outside. Yes it did tip it down at one point  but I found a seat under an umbrella lol

So on to Chastleton and the weather cheered up.

This should be full of butterflies

The dovecote belongs to another long demolished house

The church.

The house is fairly unaltered

A really old teas made.

Another holiday :) I haven't been to Snowshill since I was little and I really must visit again. Such an amazing collection of objects there! I like Chastleton - dragged OH there once. Worrying about lack of butterflies on the buddleia. I haven't seen any on the buddleias we have in the garden. Have a good holiday.
