I left the car at the hotel and got the bus in to St Peter Port (parking on a week day is at a premium).

The castle dates from the 13th century but an explosion in the 17th century demolished a lot of the medieval core. Today the castle is a series of museums to the military regiments associated with the island and to the islands naval history.
I met up with Julie who runs the mascot of the Channel Islands Airsearch on Facebook and Twitter
