Anglesey Abbey

I had stuff to do this afternoon so off I headed to Anglesey Abbey - the reason? well they had this scone.... :)

To be fair the garden is always worth a visit and with the sun shining... also getting a bit Autumnal

Now here is a thing in the gardens there is a statue of a man (Lord Fairhaven?) and a dog and a kid was sitting astride it!! Were the parents aghast? No they were taking photos and asking him to move so he was in frame better! FFS!!!

The scone was a Goat's Cheese, Pear & Walnut..... it was nice but some chutney would have been nice but alas .... (which is odd as on facebook the Anglesey page said... perfect with chutney or as accompaniment to a bowl of soup). Alas only Flatford does a Savoury Cream tea.

Gardens and grounds there are looking particularly lovely. The scone looks nice and I agree chutney goes well with a savoury scone. Stoneywell do a lovely cheese scone served with grated cheese and chutney :)
