Hidcote & Chastleton

As regular readers will have worked out I like Hidcote! It's a lovely place and great to wander and read.... it is however a place that gardeners love and you will people talking about plants. My advice if you want to take photos is get there early.

Hidcote was created by Lawrence Johnson and it has a concept of outdoor rooms.... it is apparently very influential.

Grass Snake!!

Great Crested Newt?

Yes yes I know... very scone pics this week... they are on the phone and I am too lazy to transfer them! They are on twitter :)

Chastleton is the house that time forgot.... the family backed the wrong side in the Civil War and so were poor. The house has been little touched since it was built at the beginning of the 17th century.

But first a walk in to St Mary's church
