Burford & Upton House

Burford is a small medieval town/village on the banks of the River Windrush...

It's a nice place and I do like the fact that the car park is FREE!!!

Resident parking attendant :)  the car park is by the river when I took Mum & Dad on holiday to the Cotswolds we always stopped here for a coffee.

Now Cotswolds town/villages are tourist central and so are packed with small independent tea rooms so I was GOBSMACKED to see a Cafe Nero in Burford! It wasn't here a few years ago,

The church of St John the Baptist....

So off to Upton House. This has a fine art collection as well some early Shell advertising posters (which are really good - one of the owners was the son of the founder of Shell).

The church at Burford looks superb especially the font!! :)

Super photos of Upton House - I do like it there. An interesting house (yes I also like the Shell posters) and beautiful gardens. Had my best NT cake there too once - a Strawberry and Cream sponge!
