Baker Val Temple, who runs Sgt Bun Bakery in Weymouth, has been forced to rename her Pork Tarts, Robin Tarts and Paradise Tarts. Dorset Trading Standards say she must do this because they don't contain Pork, Robin's or in the case of Paradise Tarts don't come from paradise after they received a complaint.
The pork tarts have a picture of a pigs face on it but Ivan Hancock, the county's trading standards manager, said: "The fact is that piece of food needs to be properly described so that the consumer can tell what it is.
"There's nothing wrong with using other names but it must be accompanied by the true name of the food.
"Consumers have the right to know what is in food."
Mrs Temple denies being told this, "The way they came in and said the names had to be changed didn't give me the impression you could keep the names."
"I'm sure other places haven't been told they should list all the ingredients. It's ridiculous having a long list of ingredients - of course customers are not going to think I put robin and pork in a cake."
Excuse me whilst I bang my head against a wall at the stupidity of both officialdom and the general public.

As the expression here goes, "They are all cracked."
