Honey Bee decline

On my wildlife blog I mentioned that bees were suffering mass die offs. Well the Independent is reporting on research that suggests this is due to mobile phone handsets.

Apparently a study at Landau University suggests Bees refuse to return to hives when mobile phones are placed near them.

Maybe the bees are leaving the hive because they can't stand the annoying ringtones on the cell phones. Why are the bee keepers talking on the cell phones while they are working anyway? There should be a law against that, just like while driving.

don't think its the beekeepers but virtually all of us carry the things now.
