Helmingham Hall

Helmingham Hall was built by the Tollemache family in 1480 and they have lived there ever since . The adjacent parish church is packed with monuments (I did visit this and it will appear soon).

The hall is moated and not open to the public. However its wonderful garden is and this year is packed with sculptures in aid of breast cancer. The exhibit ends in September so get in quick. The garden is very fine too and the food in the cafe very decent.

Given the sculpture exhibit I met up with my friends Rebecca and Stuart for a look around.

There is a deer park (which you can't enter) but sometimes they come close.... this is the only one close today. I only had the phone

Even without the sculpture the garden is worth a visit and not expensive!
