Strolling Central London and some great Music

So today was a concert day.

We decided to wander down Hyde Park and on to St James' but alas much of it is blocked off for the Olympics. Still it was a nice stroll.

The Selfridges shop windows....

And then to the Wigmore Hall to see the Leipzig String Quartet play

Mendelssohn's String Quartet in E minor Op.44 No. 2
Beethoven's String Quartet in A minor Op. 132

very good they were too and they were good enough to pay a movement from a Mendelssohn String Quartet as an encore.

Very interesting to see the shop frontages! As for Ron with a sausage - just down the Thames shows they will eat anything!

Looks like you picked the right time for your walk weather wise.

I am going to have a go at reducing my pics from the Jazz Cruise down the Thames the other week.To post on my blog.

Love the shop windows. What a look of curiosity on that squirrels face. Great shots.
