And so to Kent.....

An early start to sneak across the Dartford Bridge to avoid the toll. Tight? Me? you betya!

I had arranged for breakfast at the place I'm staying.

And then onto a few churches.

797 St Mary, Elham

onto

798 All Saints, Boughton  Aluph which was difficult  to find until we found out that if we had turned off a junction later it was  signposted.

And so to Sutton Scotney Castle.

We enjoyed a lovely Spicey Vegetable Soup in the sun

but as we were about to head off....

.... it started to rain so we headed into the house.....

it was now chucking it down and so off for cake! Coffee & Walnut and Carrot ! Both lovely.

Trish commented that it was brightening up....

yeah right it immediately started hammering down so we called it a day and so no pics of the castle and garden :(

Shame about the weather Pete :(. Hope its better today. The churches look very interesting as does the castle. Looks a lovely part of the country to visit :). Sissinghurst - hope you manage to visit. Its another of those places on my list to see one day.

Lovely churches once again. I really could live in that house she says with longing. Oh my, you do have the most wonderful places over there.
