The Sea, a church and some gardens in the sun

The sun was shining so I headed to the attractive seaside town of Padstow.

Last time I was hear there was a Shag (it’s a bird alright!) in the harbour and loads of Turnstone walking amongst the tourists. Not today but there were..

Oh and isn’t it typical!

I then decided I’d pick up

685 St Antony in Roseland

It sits right at the end of the Roseland peninsula next to the old house. The church is now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.

So lets have a look at Trelissick which rain stopped me showing you yesterday.

There is a small pond and I spied some birds drinking ok I should have reached for the camera but went for the bins and saw a family party of Crossbill including one lovely male. Funny before this year I’d only ever seen them in one location!

I then headed a few miles down the road to another National Trust garden at Glendurgan.

This heads down to the river

Where I was joined by this chap

I ended with a tea and a scone and these fellas said hi!

So that was Cornwall. I’ll need another trip to pick up the last 5 churches but it was really enjoyable and I didn’t do that badly on the church front!
