Update

So busy was I worrying about the wretched photos.

Whilst walking past some rubbish bins (big green ones with lids - that didn't quiet fit) I heard some scrabbling and out comes this squirrel - not sure who was more shocked. He took one look at me and took off. Great facial expression though.

The kingfishers are particularly exciting. There is a false nesting area for kingfishers at Rye Meads. They have bred successfully there for years but failed past two years due to predation.

The two I snapped are by the bank and yesterday mating was seen. So I have high hopes.
