I had a bit of a lazy day sitting in gardens and reading. All very relaxing.
First stop Hailes Abbey.
I like Hailes and I always stop into the church with its medieval paintings.
Just down the road from Hailes is Tewkesbury Abbey which is pretty complete but Hailes is virtually demolished. There is no village to speak of and the small church sufficed I guess. Oh to see it at its peak.
I drove up the road to Snowshill for lunch and sit and read. The garden was looking lovely in the sun.
So I wandered onto Chastleton for more of the same. The Gardens were looking good and the combination of house and church is so picturesque
