It was a very rough day (still is and as I type, very windy!!). I thought Lavenham made some sense as it wouldn't be closed due to wind !
The church of St Peter and St Paul. It was built out of the wealth of the wool trade in the late 15th century. Although built earlier it was essentially reconstructed between 1485 and 1525. Lavenham was one of the 15th richest towns in England despite the fact it is so small.
This house was used as Harry Potter's house.
It was wretched but the Guildhall tea room was open!
The Guildhall (found again by wool) which dates from around 1529... it was later a brideswell (prison) and workhouse.
One of the rooms has a changing exhibition. This time it is about the railway which closed in 1965.
Nice to get out !
