Squerryes Court

Last yeaer I attempted to visit Squerryes Court in Kent. Being a bit of an idiot I turned up on a Saturday not realising that it was only open Wednesday and Sundays.

Well today was a Sunday so..... I also arranged to meet up with Trish as she had commented that she wasn't sure what to do today.

Squerryes is a "small" William & Mary house and the gardens are again "small" but the whole aspect is lovely.

The view from the house.

And a walk around the lake. There was lots of wildlife about.

So to lunch! The location of the tea room is rather pretty.

No soup! So I went for the Jacket Spud.

And then on the gardens.....

A walk around the house and then a cup of tea and a rather nice piece of Carrot Cake.

And a final walk around the lake.

If you are in the area its worth a visit.

Looks a lovely place. The grasshopper pictures are great especially the last one where one is shedding its skin. And is that a moth I see?! :D

Wonderful pictures. You make my mouth water with all your talk about the great food and cakes you eat on your journeys.
