It had been raining overnight but when we left it was dry but dull grey. Well we headed to Beer a small fishing village by the coast.
I glanced up and saw a wagtail on the roof. I thought it looked "odd" and on closer inspection. It was a lovely Grey Wagtail.
I do like this!
And so onto Forde Abbey where we greeted by the Grey Wags Pied cousin.
This little chap looks young! But he was seen to fly quite strongly shortly after.
Anyone know what this is?
A treecreper and a little grebe were seen but were not playing ball camera wise.
The excellent hotel we are staying in doesn't serve food Tuesday's (its owned and run by a husband and wife team). The village pub, the Yarcombe Inn, is directly opposite so we didn't have far to work. It's a community pub and the food was excellent as was the beer.

A great variety of photo's Pete.
Love the photo's of the argentatus.
Best for me were the B/W scenes!

Wonderful pictures Pete. The colours of the flowers are marvelous. I love the red railing on that small bridge in the woods.
The B&W works well....
