The car was due its service, so today so i dutifully took it in to be done. So what to do? AH I know lets hop on a train and go to London.
I think this is the Greater London Assembly building - quite attractive whether it is or not.

The Monument built to commemorate the Great Fire of London in 1666.
St Paul's Cathedral (its amazing how close together all these places are!). Alas it charges for entry and won't let you take photos.

Loved the walk around London, fantastic pictures once again, but the best pictures to me are the Raven pictures (*sigh* only two). Aren't they just gorgeous?
You've done yourself proud. Great pictures. Well worth the trip, I'd say. Ahem, you can throw the statue with the feline in the package as well, lol.
All Hallows looks beautiful. Given my penchant for wooden carvings, I really do like the woman with the children!
That's what is so good about London - there's a great deal that's close together!

The building wherein is the GLA is called City Hall - and it is that lovely building.(as in your pics)
The views are really great from the part which is accessible to the General Public, it has an outside balcony......
Shame about the present occupant in the Mayor's office!
