I haven't been to Stourhead and given the forecast is not great I thought I'd go there today!
Stourhead was the creation of the Hoare family (bankers) and is a stunning landscape garden.
The house has a fine art collection.
These are from the 2005 film Pride & Prejudice.
I had picked up a pack of sandwiches and sat watching a Great Crested Grebe feeding 3 juveniles.
I wandered into the church with a medieval monument and some 18th century Hoare monuments.
Always a nice walk

A wonderful way to spend the day. The grounds are amazing and the church looks interesting.
