Dyrham Park and Malmesbury Abbey

Apparently it is 10 years since I've bern to Dyrham so a good time to return. As I would be early I popped to Malmesbury to see the Abbey.

The Abbey you used to see is small amount of what was once was here. All that remains is the nave, the crossing tower and choir being lost at the time of the reformation. Apparently Athelstan the first English King is buried in the grounds but no one knows where. There is a 14th century monument in the church.

This made me churckle.

This actually rotates.

When I first visited Dyrham you could park by the house. Now you park at the top and walk down or get the bus. I walked down

When last I visited in 2015 this was not hear and was planned! I do like it!

St Peter's church. Not in the care of the NT

This is Monty, he has a sign around his neck asking not to be fed as he had got a bit large.

A good day
