Easton Walled Garden

I was going to Grimsthorpe Castle  but alas it was closed for an event so I headed to Easton Walled Garden.

Easton is only a garden as the house was pulled down in 1951. The garden still exists and has been extended to cover the area occupied by the house.

looking across to the old walled garden.

The terrace as you walk down has been left to grow wild flowers. It was full of inspectors.

There was a Red Admiral and this lovely Painted Lady.

It was a nice relaxing wander!

The gardens look lovely. I have only seen them in the winter when my son and I went to a Snowdrop day there. The giraffes are new!!
