In which I took LOTS of photos so prepared to be overloaded!!
First stop was "Juliet's house". Obviously it wasn't hers but it is attributed as is now the place of legends,
The balcony,
So a wander to Piazza delle Erbe.
That Dante fellow.
Scrovgeni monuments. The church was shut
The Basilica di Santa Anastasia
So off to the duomo
This is the baptistery.
Parts of the first Christian church in Verona (built in the 4th century) have been excavated.
The duomo was destroyed by earthquake in 1117 and replaced 3 years later in 1120 with building completing in 1187.
After a rather fine lunch we wandered along the river (lots of swallows)
And after refreshments went to San Fermo
Excellent day. Oh nice to see Mallards on the river 😂
