Oxburgh Hall

It is Thursday in Norfolk so I have to take Sir to the market at Fakenham....

Another butcher..... ;)

and then to Oxburgh Hall, another moated manor house.....

National Trust deck chairs.......

This year the trust is allowing photography, although this didn't stop one steward politely saying no photos. LOL In her fairness she also volunteers at Houghton Hall which doesn't!

The Bedingfields are a catholic family hence the chapel when the church is next door....

As mentioned the church is adjacent and as I've probably mentioned before the spire came crashing down inn the 1940's.

So I went for a walk in the woods

and we had an ice cream and a cup of tea from the Oxburgh pantry to round up. A lovely day had my all.

What an amazing building. The Parterre garden is so colourful.

I enjoyed your walk in the woods and the wood carvings are really clever especially the squirrel on the tree stump.

Seeing the ladybird reminds me I've seen very few of them this year!

That butcher certainly gets around :)

Oxburgh Hall is just beautiful - house, church, woods, gardens - all just lovely.

Really liked the wood carvings especially the Green Man :)
