Wow what a Bank Holiday Monday! Blue skies, warm.......
I got up and headed to the forest.....
Next week........
Lots of Warblers.... record shot of a Lesser Whitethroat....
Quite a few Warblers, Common Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethoat, Garden Warler, Blackcap etc.... Lots of Green Woodies laughing.
I was really pleased to see two Common Terns on the raft and they appear to be a pair. The two pairs of Grebes are still on nests. So hopefully next Saturday there will be Grebe chicks!
So I popped to Rye Meads. The resident Greeter....
Terns back at Rye Meads. Alas the rafts are full of Black Headed gulls
There were 4 Little Ringed Plovers and a Stock Dover at Draper Hide.....
Grey Heron going for a walk
There were two Great Crested Grebes (unusual at RM) I also saw a Garganey.....
This coot was posing below a singing Garden Warbler
Sedge Warbler....
Despite all the warblers I heard/saw today I only heard one Willow Warbler which was sad.
Cracking bit of local birding.

Lovely photos, and some great bird spots :)
What lovely green! Our trees aren't even out in leaves yet. Wonderful shots.
