Crossing the Tamar!

Today it was off in to Cornwall to Cotehele. To be fair Cotehele sits just across the Tamar so it's hardly venturing far into Cornwall!! It was a good choice as upon returning to the hotel it was bathed in clouds whereas Cotehele was bathed in sunshine!!

Cotehele is a medieval manor house with the buildings virtually untouched since tudor times.

The upper gardens are more formal, as is the terrace which leads to the wilder valley garden.

The upper gardens....

After lunch off to the house.

This is a artificial arm for fixing to suits of armour!

Terrace and valley garden

No cake today. Had a Cornish Cheese Tea - 2 cheese scones and 2 pieces of Cornish Cheese and a pot of tea. It was shared!!

A lovely day, Cotehele is well worth a visit.

Good heavens, you still have butterflies and dragonflies about! I love the picture fourth up from the bottom. I'm sure there are fairies there. Great shots all.

I forgot to mention the duck statues, delightful. Love that bed as well. I don't know about the "wallpaper" in that room though, lol.
