And so the phoney war is over and the General Election is called for May 6th
Lets ignore the expenses row and just about every over scandel. Elections are important.
Many people have fought over the centuries to get us some degree of say in how our country is run. People have fought wars to protect our freedoms. The suffragettes were prepared to throw themselves under horses. Two hundred years ago most of us had no say in who our leaders were today we have a degree of choice. I think it isn't expecting too much for people to mark a bit of paper.
I'm not going to nail my own political colours to the mask, I'm not going to tell you who to vote for, as if anyone would listen! All I ask is that you way up the issues do what you think is right (and right for the country not just you) and go and vote.

Voting is both our right and responsibility.....yes - who ever you decide to vote for - go and vote!
London also has local elections on the same day - be interesting to see how, if it does, the GE effects the results.
