How did that happen?

I seem to be in the Cotswolds again. Honestly this wasn't planned but you will find out why tomorrow.

So what could I do that would be relatively quiet?

I headed to the mighty Tewkesbury Abbey. It is now one of the finest Parish churches in the country and most of the church survives. The lady chapel was quarried for stone but the town bought the rest for £453.

The church was started in 1102 and nearly completed upon consecration in 1121. You can easily spot its Norman origins.

After the battle of Tewkesbury in 1471 the lancastrians sort refuge in the Abbey but the yorkists led by Edward IV forced entry. The resulting b.oodshed caused the Abbey to be closed for a month until it could be purified and reconsecrated.

By the way there is a duck trail for children, 

I was going to look around the old baptist chapel but apparently I gad to go to the John Moore museum to get a ticket for if and the museum.  I've been before and just wandered off.

I knew I could get lunch at Bourton House Garden so went there and relaxed with my book.

As I was a bit before pub opening I had a wander to the church,

I'm assuming this is a racing pigeon given the rings. It wasn't that flighty.

I have seen lots of Jersey Tiger moths. 1 or 2 per day.

Still lots of foals.

I first saw this lot over a week ago. The pond is small and I thought no hope they'd survive but they are still there. I think there were 12 this morning. The pics was a few days ago.

You suddenly find an apple tree.

The ducks close to home are growing. I have high hopes all 3 will make it. Mum is superb.

As I lay in bed this morning I heard geese flying past. These were by the common pond. I think an adult with first years given size differences.
