Croome Court

As I haven't been to Croome in a while....

Croome has had a checkered history. The house was used as a Hari Krishna centre a catholic boys school and has been leased to the national trust. The house contents are gon3 but some like the bookcases are being put back. The grounds are much improved since i first visited.

During WWII RAF Defford was based there and there is a small museum. Th3 redundant church was the work of Capability Brown and Robert Adam.

I'm not sure if the low water of the lake is due to drought or restoration of the bridges.

I've never been to Croome but the grounds look lovely and the church interesting. Some nice sculptures/statues too.

The little RAF museum is good. Croome is rather nice even if much of the house empty
