Catching up

Well a holiday is on the horizon so I thought I'd catch up on the local wildlife.

There are still 2 coots at New Hall but alas I think we have a solo Goose. For days I've only seen one there were 2 yesterday but today only one.

Butterfly wise I've seen Brimstone, Comma, Peacock, Small Tortoiseshell and a white (it was flying!). I did see a butterfly (not white) that seemed big but it was a corner of the eye jobby as it flew.

Blossom is coming out which is lovely to see.

The only bird migrant I've seen is a few Chiffchaffs. No foals yet I'd hope there'll be some in April but I'll wander to the other common in a few weeks to check.

This post is funny. The goals like to sit on it and there is definitely a pecking order!

The Lesser Black Backed always takes priority!

The Common Gull is second!

All by myself.....

Only the one fox today! Not seen them in a while

Super photos from your local walks :) As usual you are doing much better than me with butterflies! I've seen a comma and last week in Herefordshire had brief glimpses of what looked like Peacocks but I couldn't be sure. Have a good holiday and if you are in England I hope the weather stays lovely for you.
