I haven't been to Bury St Edmunds for 10 years so....
The Abbey Gardens and ruins....
So into the cathedral....
The cathedral was once a parish church and former chapel of theabbey.. Once it became a cathedral it got extended, a central and a makeover, St Mary's is the other former Chapel. It is, I think the more interesting building and there were more people in it!

A super place to visit Pete. The abbey ruins look interesting and there are some great features in the church and cathedral. The font in the latter looks a bit ornate! :) but there are some super ceilings. You do find some wonderful places to visit.
