A walk along the sea front at Frinton

My friends Jan and Tony have moved back from Cornwall to the joys of the Essex coast and I was invited for dinner last night. It was lovely as ever, thank you Jan.

This morning after a nice egg and bacon sandwich we went for a wander in town. Frinton is a nice town and they aim to keep it that way there are lots of independent shops and it has a reputation as a conservative place.

I say town but we went for a walk along the beach. It was great and cold but nice to blow the cobwebs away.

It was nice to see a Sanderling along the front!

There is a nature reserve nearby run by Essex Wildlife trust which I'll have to visit.

St Mary the Virgin. The church is apparently the smallest in Essex it has a 25 foot Medieval nave. The church has been much mucked about  over the years. The website says it is open daily but it wasn't today. I will try again later.

The beach at Frinton looks beautifully quiet :) I do miss the sea and holidays there. 2.5 years now since Anglesey! A shame about the church - would be interesting to see inside.
