We headed to the station and about 17 minutes after the train arrived we were at Peschiera del Garda. My advice was from the station to follow the crowds into town. Slight problem...... no crowds! So we crossed the road and walked alongside the river (WRONG!!).
We soon discovered our error but were quite happily watching birds so carried on walking.

We came across a small reed bed and there was a bird making a noise. It was a warbler and a big one sounding like a frog...... Great Reed Warbler.....
We came across another reed bed and another warbler. Now I will be honest if it hadn't have been singing I'd have said Reed Warbler but as it was and it was no way on earth a Reed Warbler it was a Marsh Warbler (I'm aware there are differences but views weren't great)
At this point we headed back into town....
We had lunch on a boat on the river....
We discovered why it was quite at the station there were no boats running!
This is the place we had lunch.
After we got back into town and found that there were market stalls in the Piazza Erbe.
We ate outside......
As we walked back to the hotel ..... it rained! Nice day
