On the way back I pulled off at Junction 4 of the M40 and went to Bisham. The church is always locked, there was a service on which was due to finish in about 20 minutes so as the churchyard is by the Thames I took a seat and read a bit of my book.

It never ceases to amaze me, the things you find in the churches over there. I don't know what you'd call it, the statuary maybe, is marvelous.
