After the awful weather of yesterday I found myself off work and the sun was GLORIOUS.
I dragged myself out of bed and went to Amwell. The highlights were Snipe, Lapwing, first Goldeneye of the winter and a probable Yellow-Legged Gull.
A few piccies
I then went over Hatfield Forest a few tit flocks about. Winter is coming, in Summer the only ducks tend to be Mallards but now Teal numbers are up and there was a lovely drake Pochard. The juve Great Crested Grebe is still about and looked more independent.

Lovely set Pete.
The Wigeon are looking very handsome now with the gold blaze on their heads.
Lovely pictures all Pete. Seems to be a Snipe and Robin sort of day :)
Great pics Pete, especially the Robin.
I know I've said it before, your robins always seem to have a quizzical look on their faces. Makes me smile. Great photos.
