How great is that to get a family of 3 Green Woodies!
Like the Red Admiral on the ripening blackcurrants.
Well done. Beautiful pictures. What interesting woodpeckers and the bird in flight is fabulous. The little vole is so cute. Not a wasted day for sure.
Great Pictures, Pete. Favourite are the Terns. both adults and fledgling.
I only saw a Large White today, feeding on flowers of Brambles in my garden. Seeing your Red Admiral on ripening fruit of same, gives me hope for seeing one at home.
Found a few ripe fruit on it also. And, good as I am, I left it for the birds... besides they were lying on the path, so I'd have to delve too low in order to reach them.
Also, I'd just finished making and eating a large fresh fruit-salad.
Absolutely fabulous photos once again!
Nice bird and lepidopteran pics, Pete.
Hey, I'm going to be in Ireland in early September. Do you have a recommendation for a bird guide that would be useful to me whilst I'm there?
Andi
WOW! I mean - your pictures are no doubt always brilliant but the 'study' on the Terns flight (and I don't even know what bird that is LOL) is very impressing!
Pete - Thanks for the rapid response. That was very helpful!
