On holiday! Snowshill and Chastleton

After my health scare I've escaped to the Cotswolds for a few days :)

I stopped for breakfast at my usual cafe and then went into Broadway

Neither is a phone anymore but they look nice!

Then on to Snowshill for a scone on its last weekend of opening.

I passed on a house visit and just wandered around the garden.

I actually sat here and read!

And so onto Chastleton. It is its last regular weekend but will be dressed for a 1960's Christmas for a few weeks and the end of November and early December

A nice quite day. Very relaxing.

On Tuesday I aim to visit a National Trust place I've never visited!

Finchingfield

I've driven through Finchingfield a few times but haven't stopped in ages (February!).

There were LOTS of cars. I know its half term but..... I picked up a coffee and a breaky bap and sat and watched the world go by

Not a bad view

There are lots of fine signs in this part of the world.

Ruggles and Ruggles-Brises everywhere in the Kempe chapel.

Brise Ruggles Brise? Bit of a mouthful

This Ruggles Brise was the founder of the Borstal system.

Seen in a garden. My friend OC approves :)

Finchingfield still manages to have 2 tea rooms... 2 pubs (i think it is only 2) and a restaurant. And there is a village shop.
