Duck update and a walk first

Well the drought continues as the Coalport pond is virtually empty!! Terribly sad to see.

I hadn't seen the ducklings at New Hall for ages. I thought they were on the island but wasn't sure but today they were showing ☺️

They are growing which is good. Its been an excellent year for mallards I think a best ever.

I had a new first my walk list ... A Garden Warbler. I was well chuffed. 

The white duck was at New Hall yesterday! It wasn't today but still that's good! 

Still lots of painted ladies and Jersey Tiger moths 

More lions and murals.

I had to walk into town today so a few more lions and murals.

These are on the playhouse.

There were 2 in a council building opening late for training.

It seems some ducklings fledged at Netteswell pond.

I noticed that one of the lions was outside Harlow Museum and as that is easily walkable I went for a wander.

I noticed on a recent walk that the underpasses were decorated with murals. I saw some today.

In May a stone chipped the windscreen then we had the battery. Well the next day I popped over to my friends Jan and Tony. I had been there 19 minutes when there was a knock on the door to report a motorbike had hit my car!!  There wasn't much damage, broken brakelight a scratch on the tyre some bodywork damage but the car was driveable... Or so I thought but a broken brakelight means the car is not roadworthy and the insurance sent the RAC to take it to the repairer. J&Ts daughter kindly picked me up Thursday and took me home. I took her to my cafe for lunch.

I mention that as the next day these had appeared.

Apparently they are all over Harlow, Epping and Loughton. These are the ones near home. 

Ever since Saturday the buddleia bushes are alive with painted ladies.

Oh the car was picked up yesterday!
