Northleach and Hampnett Churches, Snowshill and Chastleton

And so where today?

I was talking churches, as you do, with the person at the next table Tuesday. We shared local favourites and one was mentioned I hadn't heard of....

It was near Northleach so I popped into

St Peter and St Paul Northleach

It features highly in Jenkins and fine church that it is I can't quite fall for its charms.

An impressive porch.

Quite unusual to have a window there. You can see the chancel roof. It is a very ligh5 church.

This is a previous font cover.

I had a coffee in an independent cafe on the square and then on to.

St George Hampnett. This is a Norman church where a vicar jn the 1860s decorated the chancel. The parishioners didn't like it but were unable to remove them.

So indeed of a bite to eat I popped to Snowshill. Lots of fungi about.

Got to love Autumn colours.

I then popped to Chastleton. Supporting the local community by buying a coffee from the church.

A rather pleasant day a pity about the lack of sun.

Interesting churches and I love the autumn colours and dahlias at Snowshill. I've actually been to Chastleton! We had tea in the church too. I do remember the inside of the house was very dark and my photos were awful! It sounds like you had another good day:) It has been dull and cloudy here too most of the day.
