Lacock & Nunney Castle

Lacock is a village in Wiltshire owned by the National Trust. It remains much period features and is often used in TV period dramas (Pride & Prejudice & Cranford) and the Abbey contains cloisters which were used in the filming of Harry Potter - alas they were closed today as Warner Brothers were filming. No one knows what they are filming and there were security stopping you get close.

The Tithe Barn

Lacock was the of Fox Talbot who pioneered the photographic negative.....

Can you believe after lunch (nice scone! photo out of focus!! IDIOT!!) the sun came out!! I went to see Nunney Castle built in the late 14th century by Sir John Delamere..... it was raised during the Civil War,

As I sit here the sun is still out but there is thunder in the distance!!

Lacock is just gorgeous and I enjoyed seeing the castle. Never been to either but would especially like to go to the former. Have been to Castle Combe though which was very picturesque :)
