I decided I wouldn't drive that far today so I stayed relatively local and headed to Beningborough Hall. Another reason was the forecast was good and I thought the gardens would be good for butterflies (any reason why I left the dSLR in the car?).
Beningborough is a Georgian Mansion built in 1716. It is home to more than 100 Portraits from the National Portrait Gallery oh and the top floor has a lot of hands on exhibits.
Any ideas where the tea room is?
This stretch of Lavender was a live with bees and the odd flutter
A buddleia bush? Cue a few butterflies!
I was disappointed on my scone 2 years ago but not this time!
The story goes that an airman billeted here rode a horse down the stairs.
