Anglesey Abbey

I was off today to get the car serviced. Luckily it wasn't too long so I had time for a visit. I had decided I was after another Mince Pie scone at another venue. Quality control you understand? So Anglesey Abbey or Wimpole Hall? I decided on Anglesey as I thought it would be more crowded at weekends and house wasn't open at Wimpole but would be at the weekend.

I arrived at Anglesey walked into the cafe and NO MINCE PIE SCONE!! Apparently they are only serving them on the festival of lights weekend.... SOB!!

So I had a Fruit scone...... was better than last time.

The garden is being set up for the sold out night time festival of lights (I really will need to go next year!)

It was cold out so I headed in for a cuppa and for a bowl of soup. The soup was Carrot and Coriander (and was lovely) the young lady serving me asked if I would like a Cheese and Herb scone with it? Well why not!

Not bad I prefer fruit but not bad.
