I really don't like this time of year! I wake up to darkness and I arrive at work in darkness. I don't know about anyone else out there but it makes getting out of bed an effort! In summer of course I wake to blue skies (well when it's not raining ;) ) and jump out of bed with a sense of joy (well on Saturday and Sundays and holidays). To counter this I am dreaming of sunshine on my make and warmth in the sun and to aid with this I've picked up HV Morton's A Traveller in Rome. Written in the 1960's books are filled with interesting information and transports me to a place I want to visit.
I am well aware I've not done much birding recently and I am not sure when next I am going to get anywhere! I have a visitor this weekend so I'll probably be out somewhere scenic showing the sights and the two weekends after that I have concerts! I might have to go to some London parks to get a spot in!
I may also have to sneak a trip up to Norfolk just to see the geese or stroll along the path at Titchwell.
Dad seems to be fine after his hypo attack. Well he has bitten his tongue and is finding eating painful but in himself fine.
I realise that the big wildllife thing of the moment is the Badger Cull and I haven't commented on that. I jsut don't understand why we can vaccinate them since scientific advice seems to suggest culling will have little or no impact and may lead to more TB!
I was quite pleased with the film results. It's an experiment I will continue. But don't expect the next batch for a while. I am also tempted to junk my dSLR and just pick up an Olympus E-M5 and a Panasonic 100-300 I only use the dSLR for birds and I don't take many birds in flight! Nowadays I use micro 4/3 for virtually all my photography.
Not sure where I am off to tomorrow weather and my visitor will decide!
And I had better do some work, however I feel entitled to skive for 20 minutes since I haven't had a lunch break this week!

Glad your dad has been ok since his hypo attack.

I wake up to darkness all year. I love it! lol. Glad to hear that your father is feeling well. It must be awfully painful to eat what with that bitten tongue. It should heal fairly fast though.
