Well I'm not quite sure how it happened but I am go to a couple of cultural events.
Firstly I will be seeing English National Ballet perform the Nutcracker at the London Coliseum. That will be December...
But it gets more bizarre in March I'm going to the Opera.......
YES THE OPERA!!
I'm going to see Giacomo Puccini's La Boheme. Performed at the Royal Opera House Covenant Garden! I was tempted by Verdi's La Traviata by English National Opera but I thought a) my first opera should be sung in Italian b) it's Verdi's 200th anniversary and the season in Verona (get him!) is all Verdi so...... ;)
It will be interesting!!

Great choice of opera. The sad plight of young women.. Particularly la traviata...always brings a tear when his father visits...not many choices for young women on their own in those days. Best to become familiar with the music cause it's magnificent. The nutcracker is really taken from a scary story...the case of the hard nut..however...here in Phila it's a Christmas thing for little girls to go see...some of them hobble around with toe shoes on in the audience.
