Tuesday 9th January 2007

Well it was VERY windy this morning.

The Little Owl was not at Flitcham Abbey Farm sigh. And for a reason I never stopped at Sculthorpe Moor to look for Willow Tit

I did stop at Lynford Arboretum where the Hawfinch were obliging and I found a flock of Goldfinch AND Siskin!!

No photos today. Very enjoyable break! Now lets see what you lot have been up to!

Glad you had a nice break :-) Happy to see you back though, it's been very quiet in blogland recently.

It was windy this morning! I saw what appeared to be an item of somebodies washing go sailing past at around 8.30 LOL Hope they got it back.

Lucky you!
I've never been lucky enough to see a hawfinch.

I read once there's a special collective noun for goldfinches - but I can't remember it.

Any ideas?

A "charm" of Goldfinches.

Hiya Pete well that Year List is way ahead of me!!!

A charm of goldfinches is the term, kaz.

Nice photos, Pete. Perhaps try changing the white balance. Sometimes auto is not too reliable.
