Where is my life going?

Yesterday evening I came home to find a letter on the mat from an insurance company. When I left home and bought a flat I took out an endowment policy to cover the Mortgage. The endowment was for 25 years and guess what the 25 years are up!!

Where the hell did those 25 years go? It feels like yesterday, it feels like an eternity!

I left that flat many many years ago. I still remember moving out and looking back the last day and thinking of all that had happened. I remember the day I left home and the first night in my own home!

A quiet Sunday at Rye Meads

As I had been to Rye Meads in a while I spent the morning there.

The inevitable Green Sandpipers! 7 today.

Lots of Dragons about! But the terns seem to have gone south, there was one solitary tern amongst the gulls. A few Reed Warblers still and I did see two Water Voles.

Whilst waiting for a Kingfisher to show this Mallard had a scratch.

then sailed serenely off.

A Day out with Dad

Well I went out with sir today.

First to Bury St Edmunds. Coloured Cauli anyone?

We popped into the Cathedral refectory for a cuppa and scone.

The Abbey Gardens were looking lovely.

And so to Ickworth for a stroll

Sir thoroughly enjoying the blue sky and an ideal temperature.

Him again!

As we drove back the heavens opened! Most odd as it had been lovely.
