I've been jabbed part deux

Well I've had my second Pfizer jab this morning. I seem to be fine fingers crossed. 

So it was early and I really fancied somewhere not local for a change. I did some essential shopping for my friends Jan and Tony. Well it was essential for them ;) and then went to Finchingfield to have my lunch and wander.

It was nice to see House Martins zipping about and some ducklings on the pond :)

Some more walks

I've been doing local walks for the last few days and I suspect I will be most of this week given the weather and stuff.

it is lovely to see all the blossom out now.

I had thought there 3 new foals but I've found out there were 4.

These are the mallard family on the common pond. I couldn't see them on my way out this morning but they were back this afternoon.

Curiously I hadn't see a Coot on the common pond last year

The 2 broods on the ponds close to home are still there. I thought we had lost one but they were there later. The older brood are now able to cross the short path to the smaller pond.

Local Walks

One of the good things about not going out is I get a lay in ;) 

Anyway this mornings walk. 

I wandered to the pond where I saw the two ducklings the other day.... 3? 

Hang on another two.... so two broods.

This House Sparrow was flitting about! 

Off to the common as I approached the pond a Swallow zipped past First I've seen on my walks this year. 

This Heron was hanging around the pond

There was a brood of 4 ducklings there so 3 broods to keep an eye on
