Busy Doing Nothing

So I left dad's yesterday lunchtime and I decided to head home...... the forecast being for rain and of course it didn't rain!

Hence instead of working to improve my bird list, a rather paltrey 15, I sat around and did? Well not much!

Hard to believe doing nothing can be so tiring! I turned the light off  and had fallen asleep by 9:10!! I awoke at five to eleven with the radio still on. What an exciting life eh ;)

Anyway I did think about things/places I want to visit in 2014 and I did realise that there were a few deeply embarrassing omissions in the Historic Properties I have visited.

For example I have yet to visit Buckingham Palace or Kensington Palace and there are a few National Trust properties that are relatively close that I haven't visited. Ascott, West Wycombe Park, The Red House and Fenton House. There are reasons ! In three of the cases the opening hours are plan awkward. But I think I'll have to crack them this year. West Wycombe is a must since I can visit the Church which is on my list!

Yes the church list for 2013 was pathetic! The lack of solo UK holidays really impacted my progress! I have plans to go back to Yorkshire and Northumberland next  year so hopefully I will visit some more in 2014!

St Albans Cathedral

It was dull, it was very grey and it was wet so I thought I'd head to St Albans and look around the Cathedral....
